Thank you for sharing your stories with me. I realized that as the book creation process is long, in fact much longer than I would have thought. Here I will give sporadic updates so that you know the project is ongoing. My MFA program requires that I produce 15,000 words a semester, about 40 pages in standard formatting. The world of writing is often measured by word count with the goal of a manuscript, but the steps beyond that, to get published, is more mysterious.
